David Schwartz, M.D., F.A.C.C.
David Schwartz, M.D., F.A.C.C., is the co-founder of Legacy Heart Center. In 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011 he was named a "Texas Super Doctor" by Texas Monthly. "Texas Super Doctors" are chosen through a poll of doctors and nurses across the state as well as through independent research.
A specialist in diagnostic and interventional cardiology, he is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine.
Dr. Schwartz is active in the medical community as a member of the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the Collin County Medical Society, the American College of Cardiology and the Clinical Council on Cardiology.
He received his fellowship in cardiovascular disease from the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver in 1981. He served his residency in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he also received his MD degree. He holds a bachelor of arts in Zoology from the University of Texas at Austin.
