Patrick L. Kennedy, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Kennedy has been in medical practice in the Dallas and Plano communities since 1986. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, and Interventional Cardiology. He is an active member of the Dallas County Medical Association and Texas Medical Association.

In 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009 Dr. Kennedy was named to D Magazine’s list of “Best Doctors in Dallas” and in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 he was named to Texas Monthly’s “Super Doctors”.

Dr. Kennedy has been recognized for his experience in teaching. He began teaching as a hospital based faculty member at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas in the Department of Internal Medicine. In 1992 Presbyterian’s Internal Medicine Staff awarded him the Robert L. North, MD Teaching Award.

In addition, Dr. Kennedy has held many leadership roles in hospital delivery of cardiovascular services. He was appointed Medical Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas from 1990 - 1995 and Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services at Texas Health Presbyterian-Plano from 2004 - 2006.

Dr. Kennedy’s education has taken place primarily right here in Texas. He received a B.A. in Biology from Rice University and earned his Medical Degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Following medical school, Dr. Kennedy completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama Hospitals in Birmingham. He then returned to Texas and received his fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases at University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas.

Dr. Kennedy is a native Texan who was born in Port Arthur. He is married and has four children. He enjoys golf and fly fishing.
