John Hollowell, M.D., F.A.C.C.

John Hollowell, M.D., F.A.C.C., specializes in diagnostic and interventional cardiology and is one of five interventional cardiologists at Legacy who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease. In 2008 and 2009 he was named a "Texas Super Doctor" by Texas Monthly. "Texas Super Doctors" are chosen through a poll of doctors and nurses across the state as well as through independent research.

Board-certified in cardiology, cardiovascular disease and internal medicine, Dr. Hollowell is active in the medical community as a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the Texas Medical Association and the Collin County Medical Association.

He completed his fellowship in interventional cardiology at The Hospital of the Good Samaritan in Los Angeles and his fellowship in cardiology at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He served his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and received his MD degree from Louisiana State University. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology.
