Our Financial Policy
We are dedicated to providing the best possible care and service to you and we regard your complete understanding of your financial responsibilities as an essential element of your care and treatment. Financial Policy
Full payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance by either yourself or your health coverage carrier. For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. There are times when you may need to involve your employer to answer policy coverage issues.
As a courtesy to our patients, we will file your primary and secondary insurances. In the case that we verified your insurance and they only reimburse the patient, we will file your claim but expect to be paid for our services at the time of your appointment.
Deductibles and Non-Covered Services
Legacy Heart Center is contracted with several insurance carriers. What this means to our patients is that Legacy has agreed with your carrier on a negotiated rate and that our patients are responsible for their deductible, any non-covered service and their co-pay.
We must collect the co-payment/deductible portion when you arrive for your appointment as per our contract with your insurance carrier. (Check with your insurance carrier if you have a question of what your co-payment should be).
All health plans are not the same and do not cover the same services. In the event your health plan determines a service to be "not covered," you will be responsible for the unpaid charge. A statement will be mailed to you for payment.
We will file an insurance claim for all services provided in the hospital.
