Samuel Woolbert, MD, FACC is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and specializes in interventional cardiology. He currently serves on the board at The Heart Hospital Baylor Plano.
Dr. Woolbert serves on a national panel of experts for the development of new therapeutic technology regarding angioplasty and stents and was one of the first cardiologists in the nation to treat patients using drug-eluting stents.
He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Collin County Medical Society, the American College of Cardiology and the American Medical Association. He also serves on the advisory board for Cordis Corporation, a company that has pioneered less invasive treatments for vascular disease.
Dr. Woolbert received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Centenary College of Louisiana; his MD Degree from Louisiana State University Medical School; and served his internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He also served as chief resident in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and received his fellowship in interventional cardiology there as well.
