David Prewitt, MD, FACC is board certified in cardiovascular disease and specializes in interventional cardiology and coronary and peripheral vascular intervention.
Dr. Prewitt is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Collin County Medical Society, the American College of Cardiology and the International Society of Endovascular Specialists. He previously served as chief of cardiology at the Medical Center of Plano.
He completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular medicine at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Houma, Louisiana. Previously he served as Chief Fellow in Cardiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, where he also completed his fellowship in cardiology and an internal medicine residency. He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Texas Christian University.
